Dr. Gardner's Favorite Granola

In a large bowl, mix:

6 cups oatmeal

1/2 cup brown sugar or sucanat

1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut*

1/3 cup raw sunflower seeds*

1/3 cup sesame seeds*

1 cup sliced or slivered almonds*

(*We buy these items in the bulk food section of Winco)

In a saucepan, melt over low heat:

1/2 cup coconut oil

1/2 cup (or less) honey

1 Tbsp. molasses

2 tsp. cinnamon

2 tsp. vanilla extract

When oil mixture is smooth and combined, pour over dry mix and stir until well coated.  Put into 10x15 pan (or half sheet cake pan) and cook for 35 minutes, stirring once halfway through.  Delicious with almond milk or mixed in yogurt.
